Get your face back

What’s the point in investing in lots of cosmetic dentistry to create a lovely smile if the frame it is sitting in looks worn out in comparison to your beautiful new teeth? If you think that your face is out of kilter with your new smile, then maybe it’s time for a freshen up with facial aesthetics in Camden?

At Ace Dental, we have been offering facial aesthetics treatment for some time now, and we find that many of our customers are delighted to put their facial cares into the safe hands of a qualified dentist. After all, with seven years training to become a general dentist, we have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the face, neck, and all the blood vessels, muscles, skin layers, nerves and tendons within, as well as how they interact with each other. We’re also skilled in how to use a needle and getting maximum effect for minimum input, in exactly the right place.

Here at Ace Dental, you can smooth away the years with Botox and dermal fillers. These two treatments work in different ways so it’s possible to use both treatments.

Facial aesthetics in Camden: Botox

Botox is a brand name for the purified protein of the botulinum type A toxin. It was developed to deal with excessive sweating, but it has become much more commonly used to smooth out wrinkles. It does so by blocking the nerve impulses that contract muscles to cause wrinkles. Common places it gets used are for frown lines and worry lines on the forehead, for crow’s feet and also around the mouth. Injections of Botox take about a week to fully kick in and then treatment can last for up to three or four months.

Facial aesthetics in Camden: dermal fillers

Dermal fillers are injections of hyaluronic acid gel to plump out wrinkles and hollows. Hyaluronic acid is something that the body produces less and less of as we age, but it plays an important role in keeping our skin looking plump and dewy. Fillers are also used to plump out thin lips. Treatments last six months to a year depending on where they are.
