Take years off your face with facial aesthetics in Camden

Skin ageing is unavoidable; everyone will face it sooner or later. Evidence of increasing age includes wrinkles, fine lines, and less supple skin. Wrinkles are often the result of facial muscles continually tugging on, and eventually creasing the skin. Along with fine lines, wrinkles are also caused by sun damage, smoking, and reduced production of the elements of the skin that keep it thick and elastic.

Even if you have great genes and look much younger than you are, age-related changes in our facial appearance are unavoidable. However, not everyone is comfortable with that, and some might like to postpone embracing those changes. At Ace Dental, we can help you reduce the signs of ageing with facial aesthetics in Camden. Botox is used to stop facial muscles from contracting,  and dermal fillers add volume to the skin and enhance the appearance of certain facial characteristics. Both treatments do not require surgery and can be completed in less than an hour in our dental practice.

Botox

Botox injections are used to treat the expression lines of the forehead and between the brows. They work by partially immobilising the muscles that form expression lines, so the skin becomes smooth. Botox generally lasts for about four to six months, sometimes longer. By stopping the movement of the muscles that cause wrinkles, Botox will also prevent lines from becoming deeper.

Dermal fillers

Dermal fillers are used to treat lines created by losing basic skin elements such as fat and collagen. After Botox injections, dermal filler injections are the most common cosmetic procedure performed. Dermal fillers often target the pair of lines that extend down from the nose to the corners of the mouth as well as the corners of the mouth to the chin. Dermal fillers can also be used to increase the volume of the lips.
