The four-point assessment system
All of clients can be confident in their dental implant treatment with our four-point assessment system.
We start by assessing the state of your jawbone and gums, where your teeth were lost. Sometimes the jawbone may not be strong enough to support a dental implant instantly, so we may need to prepare your mouth by doing a bone graft or sinus lift. This will build up the jawbone to ensure your implant will be sturdy and durable. After we are happy with your progress, we make an appointment to place the implant.
The actual metal implant we use is a titanium screw and is fused directly into the jawbone. This is then left for around three to six months to heal. During this time, new bone grows around the implant. This secures it in place in a process called osseointegration.
After this healing period, we will then fit an abutment to your implant. This is the link between your jaw and your new tooth. They are so convincing, you will never be able to tell they aren’t your own, natural teeth!
After this you will be helped by our resident dental hygiene specialists, to ensure your dental implants, Kentish Town, will last your many years to come.Back to Blog
