Are you confident about your smile? If you are shy about showing your teeth in public because you didn’t wear braces as a child, then it’s not too late to get them straightened. Doing so is important not only for your appearance, but also for your health. Poorly aligned, crowded and gapped teeth can affect your oral health, since they are harder to clean properly, are more likely to develop cavities and uneven wear, as well as jaw problems in the long run.
At Ace Dental, we appreciate that metal braces are not for everyone. That’s why we offer a range of innovative and discreet braces in Camden that are specially designed for adults. It is now possible to correct misaligned teeth, close gaps and straighten your bite in a way that doesn’t involve unattractive looking and uncomfortable metal brackets and wires.
Invisalign works in a similar manner as traditional braces, slowly moving your teeth into their correct position by using a series of custom-made, clear aligners. To start with, our dentists will use 3D imaging technology and x-rays to determine the entire treatment plan and show you the current position of your teeth, as well as the progression throughout the treatment. Once we have determined how your teeth should be aligned, we will create a series of aligners to fit your teeth perfectly.
All you need to do is wear each aligner for approximately two weeks before changing to the next one in the series. Once you have gone through all your aligners, you will have achieved the smile that you always wanted. Treatment time with Invisalign varies for each patient, but generally, most people have their teeth straightened in between 9-18 months.
Lingual braces are similar to traditional fixed braces except that the brackets are bonded to the inside of the teeth, therefore they are practically invisible. At Ace Dental, we use Damon lingual braces, which are ideal for most teeth straightening problems, with treatment times up taking up to about 24 months.
