We aim to offer quality treatment and care to all our patients.  This requires us to use our clinical time effectively.  Failed appointments and late cancellations are a costly waste of our dentists’ time and our resources.

We operate a courtesy text and email reminder system.  This is a courtesy service; it is the patients’ responsibility to ensure their own attendance at an appointment. 

If you need to cancel an appointment, please give us at least 24 hours’ notice.  Cancellations can be made by telephone or email.  

There is a fee for private dental appointments that are missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice.  The fee is based on the length of the appointment and is charged at £1.50 per minute.  A deposit equal to the fee chargeable is required to secure a private dental appointment in our clinical diary (i.e., a 30-minute appointment requires a £45.00 deposit). 

There is a fee for private hygiene appointments that are missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice.  This is charged at £34.50 per 30-minute appointment.  A deposit equal to the fee chargeable is required to secure a private hygiene appointment in our clinical diary. 

If three NHS dental appointments are missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, we do not guarantee being able to complete a patient’s NHS treatment and will not be able to offer NHS treatment in the future.

New patients who miss or cancel their first appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice will not be offered another appointment.
