Who would benefit from composite veneers?

If you have issues with your teeth like discolouration, chips or misalignment, you will probably want to find a dental procedure that can fix the problem without being too invasive.

Veneers are fixed to the front of the teeth – the part that you see when looking in a mirror – where they cover any damage and provide protection.

What are composite veneers?

Composite veneers are made from a resin material and are applied over the top of your existing teeth.

Benefits of composite veneers

There are a number of benefits of getting composite veneers, and the main ones are the fact that they are cost-effective, they don’t take long to fit, and they can mask a great number of dental issues.

How to start the process

The first thing you’ll need to do is to contact us, and we’ll invite you to come into Ace Dental and have a chat with our friendly team. We can examine your teeth and talk to you about the options available.

If you choose to go ahead and have composite veneers fitted, we’ll then invite you in for another appointment. Your teeth will be thoroughly cleaned to ensure that they’re ready for the veneers to be fitted. Sometimes, a thin layer of enamel might need to be removed, as this will help the material to stick to your teeth. However, this is not always necessary.

If you are having direct veneers, your dentist will make small scratches on the surface of your teeth to help the material stick, and then add the glue, followed by the composite material.

How long do composite veneers last?

Like with many things, how long your veneers last will depend on how well you take care of your teeth. On average though, they should last for between 5 and 7 years. Once the process has been completed, you will be able to return to your normal activities right away, making this an attractive option for anyone who wants to see a fast improvement.
