What are fast orthodontics?

Orthodontics is the dental specialism that deals with the alignment of the teeth, and the bite (how your teeth meet together). If you have misaligned, crooked or gappy teeth, you may benefit from orthodontic treatment.

Traditionally, orthodontics are associated with lengthy treatment times to move the teeth into a more desirable position. However, there have been huge advances in orthodontic treatment recently, with vastly shortened treatment times. Fast orthodontics correct mild to moderate orthodontic problems quickly – often in just a few months.

At Ace Dental we are at the forefront of the latest orthodontic techniques and systems. We have a wide range of fast orthodontic treatments on offer. The best solution for you will depend on your individual needs, and will be discussed at your initial orthodontic consultation.

If you are suitable for treatment with fast orthodontics, you will have the options of either fixed appliances (braces) or removable appliances (clear aligners).

Fixed appliances

Six Month Smiles

Six Month Smiles are clear braces that can correct mild to moderate problems with the front six teeth – those that show when you smile. They work fast by focussing on just a few teeth, with treatment on average taking between three and six months.

Quick Straight Teeth

Quick Straight Teeth fixed appliances focus on the teeth that show when you smile, and are great to fix mild to moderate orthodontic problems. They offer fast and predictable treatment and because they are clear and tooth-coloured are also highly discreet.

Removable appliances

Inman Aligner

The Inman Aligner is a removable clear aligner that is renowned for its fast treatment times. Its unique design applies gentle pressure to the front and back of the front four teeth, correcting minor alignment problems in as little as six weeks.

Quick Straight Teeth

Quick Straight Teeth offer two types of removable appliance. The best one for you will depend on your treatment needs. One is similar to the Inman Aligner, focussing on the teeth that show while you smile, whilst the other uses a series of aligners to gently move your teeth into a new position. Treatment times vary from four to 24 weeks, depending on the type and amount of correction required.
